• Parking at the Student Center Lot:

Parking Fees:

Student Center Parking Lot for $0.75 per half hour with a $10 maximum ($20 for lost ticket). The Library is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the lot. For other parking options see: visitor parking info & campus map

I-85, I-75, GA-400 (coming from the North):

1. Take North Avenue Exit 249D.
2. Take exit ramp to stoplight and turn right onto North Avenue
3. Proceed 3/10 of a mile and turn right onto Cherry St.
4. Go one block on Cherry St. to Ferst Drive and turn left.
5. Proceed 2/10 of a mile on Ferst Drive to the Student Center visitor parking lot. On the right you will see a white metal sculpture. Turn right. The Student Center will be on your right as you enter the lot. This lot has an attendant.
6. Follow walking directions.

 

I-75, I-85 (coming from the south):

1. Take Exit 249D. Continue straight one block to West Peachtree Street.
2. Turn left on West Peachtree Street.
3. Proceed one block to North Avenue and turn left.
4. Proceed 4/10 of a mile and turn right onto Cherry St.
5. Go one block on Cherry St. to Ferst Drive and turn left.
6. Proceed 2/10 of a mile on Ferst Drive to the Student Center visitor parking lot. On the right you will see a white metal sculpture. Turn right. The Student Center will be on your right as you enter the lot. This lot has an attendant.
7. Follow walking directions.

 

North Avenue (coming from the east):

1. Take North Avenue past the football stadium (Techwood Dr.) to Cherry St.
2. Turn right onto Cherry St.
3. Go one block on Cherry St. to Ferst Drive and turn left.
4. Proceed 2/10 of a mile on Ferst Drive to the Student Center visitor parking lot. On the right you will see a white metal sculpture. Turn right. The Student Center will be on your right as you enter the lot. This lot has an attendant.
5. Go to walking directions.

• Walking from the Student Center Parking Lot:

1. Walk into the Student Center and go down the stairs.
2. Exit through the doors at the bottom of the stairs. There will be a wide promenade in front of you and a fountain on your left.
3. Go straight toward the stairway about 200-250 yards away.
4. The Library is the building on the left at the top of the stairway. Enter the Library through the rotunda.

• Taking MARTA:

Shuttle:

The Tech Trolly connects passengers from the Midtown Marta station to the Georgia Tech campus. There are two Tech Shuttle exits in easy walking distance to the Library.

Ferst & Fowler

From this exit, proceed across Ferst  and south toward 4th street.  Turn Right onto 4th street and travel up the hill.  The library is on your left.

Rich Building Computer Center

From this exit, proceed south past the Rich Computer Center, up the stairs by the Architecture complex, across 4th street and up hill to the Library.

The Red Stinger Route also provides a stop near the library:

Exit the Stinger at Ferst & Cherry - From this exit, proceed north on Cherry Street 2 blocks to the Library main entrance. Enter through the rotunda.

Walking:

Exit at North Avenue Station and walk west on North Ave. Take a right onto Cherry St. The Library is at the end on Cherry St. This route is approximately 15 minutes.

 

• Directions to the Library Loading Dock (Delivery Entrance)

I-85, I-75, GA-400 (coming from the North)

1. Take North Avenue Exit 249D

3. Take a right onto Techwood Drive (parallel to stadium)
4. Go through the traffic light (Bobby Dodd Way) and turn left onto Fourth Street
5. Take the third left onto Research Drive
6. VIP Parking is at the top of the hill to the right of the loading dock

 

I-75, I-85 South (coming from the South)

1. Take Exit 249D. Continue straight one block to West Peachtree Street
2. Turn left on West Peachtree Street
3. Proceed one block to North Avenue and turn left
4. Take a right onto Techwood Drive (parallel to stadium)
5. Go through the traffic light (Bobby Dodd Way) and turn left onto Fourth Street
6. Take the third left onto Research Drive
7. VIP Parking is at the top of the hill to the right of the loading dock

 

• Using GPS to Find the Library

  The Library's official address, 704 Cherry Street, doesn't seem to work in most GPS systems. Use the address for the Rich Building, which is 258 4th Street, Atlanta, 30332. The Rich Building is down the hill from the Library and there is metered parking nearby. Alternatively, visitor parking by the Student Center has the address 391 Ferst Drive, N.W., Atlanta, 30332.
