Systems

The Georgia Tech Library Systems Department supports a variety of services for the Georgia Tech Community.

Desktop Services

Is responsible for desktop computing resources used by Library Staff and the public. This includes hardware and software installation and maintenance, training, and inventory control.

eResource and Database Technical Support

Supports access to the commercial databases that are available through GALILEO and locally loaded databases provided by the Library. Other supported services include SFX, E-Reserves, Document Delivery, ETD, and the Dublin Core experimental database.

Integrated Library System

Supports the Voyager library management system that includes the library catalog, the circulation system, and the acquisitions and serials system.

Networking

Is involved in installation and maintenance of servers and system integration. This includes user access, backup, and server architecture. It also includes email administration. This group also provides information security, developing strategies and monitoring for intrusions.

Web Services

Is responsible for coordinating tasks that support the Georgia Tech Library’s web presence.
