Kathy Tomajko

An innovative, customer-focused library administrator with over 30 years experience in an academic research library, Kathy Tomajko serves as Associate Dean of Libraries & Aerospace Engineering Librarian.

Kathy earned her Masters of Librarianship from Emory University in 1979 and her B.S. in Education from Bowling Green University in 1970.

Presently, she oversees 4 areas in the Library: Faculty Engagement, Research Data Curation, User Experience & Assessment, and Marketing and Events Management.

She joined the Georgia Tech Library in September 1979 as a Reference Librarian. Later, she has served as the Head of Information Services, Head of Reference Services/Subject Librarian, and Assistant to the Dean of Libraries.

She has also served as a subject librarian for several disciplines during her Georgia Tech tenure and is currently the Aerospace Engineering Librarian.

Kathy has extensive experience on Institute and Library committees locally and the American Library Association nationally.

Additionally, she is actively involved in library science professionally including numerous publications and conference presentations.
