In 2001 Georgia Tech began planning for a new building, the Undergraduate Learning Center, envisioned as the locus for enhancement of undergraduate education at the Institute. Central to the vision for the ULC is its physical location adjacent to the library and the integration of programs between the two. The entire project will involve construction of a 200+ gsf building connected to the library in phase I and extensive renovation of the existing library buildings in phase II. A year-long programming effort for the entire project has just ended and schematic design of the ULC will commence in the next few weeks. The following documents will provide an historical picture of the development of the project. The final programming document will be available around March 1.
