Biography of Alfred D. Andrew
Alfred D. Andrew has served as a Mathematics professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology since 1976. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Yale University (1968), a Master's degree in Statistics from Stanford University (1975), and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Stanford in 1976. He has served as Associate Chair and Acting Chair to the School of Mathematics at Georgia Tech.

Description
This collection contains information on John D. Neff, Director of the School of Mathematics at Georgia Tech during the mid-1970s, and the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America. John D. Neff was one of the creators of "Monkey Mail," a mail correspondence system to link Emory, Georgia Tech, and the University of Georgia Departments of Mathematics. The collection contains correspondence and a memorandum on this correspondence system. The collection also contains publications of the Mathematical Association of America's Southeastern Section, including an obituary of John D. Neff published in Focus, the Association's newsletter, and a history of the Southeastern Section written by Neff.
