| Abstract: | Established in 1949, the Alexander-Tharpe Fund honors Coach William A. Alexander and Mercer McCall “Mack” Tharpe, Tech football player and assistant coach who was killed in World War II. The fund provides scholarships to worthy Georgia Tech students. The organization was initially called the Alexander-Tharpe Scholarship Fund, with the name changed to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, Inc. in 1981. The records include minutes of meetings of the Board of Trustees. |
