How do I use GT CrossSearch?
There are 3 ways to search - use the method that is right for you.
- OPTION 1 - Use the “Article CrossSearch” to do a simple keyword search in a handful of popular databases.
- OPTION 2 - Select a subject from those listed to search databases relevant to that subject.
You can search as few as 1 or as many as 10 databases at once by checking or unchecking boxes next to the database names.
If a database checkbox is grayed out, that means that the database, though important, cannot be “cross-searched.” Instead, the database can be used by clicking the database name to access and search the database directly. If you are looking for advanced searching features not available in GT CrossSearch, consider searching any database directly by clicking on its name.
- OPTION 3 - Create your own groupings by using the ”My Saved Databases” feature under ”My Account.”
How do I get to the full-text?
- GT CrossSearch provides links labeled “Full-Text Available” which link directly to HTML or PDF versions of the article when available.
- Or, click
to see if the article is available full-text in another database or in print in the library.
- If the article is not available, use the “Request from another Library” to order the article using the Library’s ILLiad interlibrary loan service.
