Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
The CFR is a codification of the rules published in the Federal Register by the Executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government.

Consumer Product Safety Commission
Provides a number of resources for product safety. Select "Library" then "Publications" for a list of subjects which lead to the complete documents, including many safety alerts. 

DODISS- Department of Defense Index of Standards & Specifications
Provides a searchable database of over 50,000 military standards, specifications, handbooks, qualified product lists, and related documents with the ability to order the fulltext document. 

DOE- Department of Energy Technical Standards
Includes the fulltext of all DOE technical standards available online. It also includes a PDF catalog of all DOE standards, a list of draft standards, and more. There is a searchable WAIS database to DOE technical standards available also. It may help you identify which standard you need, but does not link directly to it. You can then go to Online approved DOE technical standards to find the html or pdf file in numerical order by the standard number. 

Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)
FIPS are standards and guidelines developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for Federal computer systems. The standards are approved by the Secretary of Commerce under the Information Technology Management Reform Act.

NIST--National Institute of Standards & Technology
Contains indexing to and/or fulltext of some Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), and Standards Reference Data material. 

OSHA--Occupational Safety & Health Administration
Contains a searchable index and fulltext from Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regualtions and much more.
