Web Accessibility Tools

The Georgia Tech Library uses the following tool to monitor accessibility compliance and improve content quality to enhance the user experience:

  • DubBot: An automated solution that provides comprehensive web accessibility checks to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 requirements (A, AA, and AAA levels). DubBot helps optimize content for screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other accessibility requirements.

Licensed Resources

Many of the Library’s electronic resources, including databases and eBook collections, are provided to our campus community through license agreements with publishers and other vendors. While the Library does not have full control over the accessibility of these licensed materials, our staff actively collaborate with vendors to advocate for and ensure compliance with accessibility standards. We are committed to ensuring that these resources are accessible to all users by:

  • Prioritizing accessibility when evaluating and selecting new resources for licensing.
  • Advocating for accessibility improvements in our discussions and negotiations with vendors.
  • Working with our campus community to identify and address accessibility barriers in our electronic resources.
  • Ensuring compatibility with assistive technologies: Making sure that our licensed resources can be accessed using screen readers and other assistive technologies.
  • Providing alternative access options: Offering options such as interlibrary loan and document delivery services for users who encounter accessibility barriers.
  • Monitoring and addressing accessibility issues: Actively seeking feedback from users and working with vendors to resolve any accessibility issues that may arise.
