The Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a an innovative and experienced professional to lead the librarians and staff in the Technical Services Department. Technical Services plays a vital role for the library and the institution in providing access to content owned or accessed by the library and encompasses Acquisitions, Cataloging, Interlibrary Loan, and Reserves functional areas. This position would report directly to the Associate Dean for Content, Access, and User Services and represent the interests of the Technical Services Department as a whole by leading strategic initiatives related to improving access and discovery. This position is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of work and for establishing and implementing technical services policies, standards, and procedures. The position would serve as the department head with programmatic responsibility for functional areas and direct supervision of up to 3 non-tenure academic faculty and 8 Technical Services Associates. The leader of Technical Services must be committed to meeting the Georgia Tech community's unique need for innovative, cutting-edge, and collaborative solutions to the issues surrounding content acquisition, discovery, and access. Digital Curation Archivist (Archivist II/III/IV - Open Rank)

The Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Archives. Applicants will be considered at rank of Archivist II, III, and IV (open rank). This innovative archivist will lead and support Library initiatives to preserve and sustain long-term access to Georgia Tech special collections and university archives in digital form, furthering the Library's mission to define excellence in the preservation, curation, and stewardship of the Institute's unique digital assets. This position reports to the Head of the Archives, Records Management, and Digital Curation Department. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

Responsible for advanced level design, integration, implementation and modification of a wide variety of user information systems usually within a highly complex environment. This includes coordination of the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of those systems. Provide functional and technical expertise in support of user systems operation and maintenance. May include support of labs, training facilities and general IT office software and hardware. Provides technical advice and leadership to lower level technical staff. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: system staff and departmental users including management. Public Services Associate I

Responsible for library customer support (in person and electronic) which includes: providing assistance with myriad library services, providing bibliographic instruction and referrals, assistance with accessing library content and shared resources, providing user account management, and assisting with various technologies. Provides access and reference services support to GT library patrons, including fulfillment, reference, and multimedia. This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, students, staff, unit management, external communities, all internal and external Georgia Tech Library patrons.
