Ryan Gaylor
Biosketch
Ryan Gaylor is the Research & Instruction Librarian at the Georgia Tech Library. He holds a MLIS from The University of Alabama and a B.A. in English from Georgia College & State University. As a member of the library’s Academic Engagement Team, he provides library-based research support and instruction to the Georgia Tech Community.
Research Interests
Ryan Gaylor serves as the Research & Instruction Librarian and liaison to both the College of Sciences and the College of Lifetime Learning. His research interests include information literacy, instructional design, health science librarianship, generative artificial intelligence in academic libraries, open educational resources, and asynchronous course development.
Teaching Interests
Ryan Gaylor’s teaching is mostly course-integrated instruction, ranging from information literacy to multimedia skills workshops. He also teaches GT-1000: First Year Seminar, which is a one credit hour course designed to help incoming first year students have a successful transition to the Georgia Tech campus and community.
