Michael Justin Ellis
Biosketch
Justin Ellis serves as the Digital Learning and Instruction Librarian for the Georgia Tech Library and as a liaison to the College of Design. As a member of the Academic Engagement department’s Instruction Team, Justin collaborates with peers and faculty to develop multi-modal workshops and create digital instructional materials for multimedia resources, emerging technologies, and data, media, and AI literacy.
Research Interests
Justin's research interests include the ethical use of artificial intelligence in education, data and information literacy, instructional design, and exploring the impact of multimedia equipment lending on student learning outcomes.
Teaching Interests
Justin’s teaching is primarily course-integrated, covering topics ranging from research methods and data literacy to specialized resources for the College of Design and multimedia and editing skills. Justin also teaches the first-year seminar, GT 1000, a one-credit course that introduces and acclimates incoming students to the Georgia Tech community.
